1. The magnitude of the force

2. Select model
Choose the correct cylinder type based on job requirements and conditions. If there is no impact phenomenon or impact noise when the cylinder reaches the end of the stroke, a buffer cylinder should be selected; If lightweight is required, a lightweight cylinder should be chosen; If narrow installation space and short stroke are required, thin cylinders can be chosen; If there is a lateral load, a guide rod cylinder can be selected; In order to achieve high braking accuracy, a locking cylinder should be selected; If the piston rod is not allowed to rotate, a cylinder with rod non rotation function can be selected; Heat resistant cylinders should be selected in high-temperature environments; Corrosion resistant gas cylinders should be selected in corrosive environments. 4. Installation form
This depends on the installation location, usage purpose, and other factors. Generally speaking, a fixed cylinder is used. When continuous rotation of a working mechanism (such as a lathe, grinder, etc.) is required, a rotary cylinder should be selected. When the piston rod needs to swing along a circular arc in addition to linear motion, a pin type cylinder is used. When there are special requirements, the corresponding dedicated cylinder should be selected.
5. Piston speed
It mainly depends on the input compressed air flow rate of the cylinder, the size of the intake and exhaust ports of the cylinder, and the size of the inner diameter of the duct. High speed movement requires larger values. The movement speed of the cylinder is generally 50-800mm/s. For high-speed cylinders, a larger inner diameter intake pipe should be selected; For changes in load, in order to achieve slow and stable motion speed, throttling devices or gas-liquid damping cylinders can be selected, which makes speed control easier to achieve. When choosing a throttle valve to control the speed of the cylinder, it should be noted that when a horizontally installed cylinder pushes the load, it is recommended to use an exhaust throttle valve to adjust the speed; When the vertically installed cylinder lifts the load, it is recommended to use an intake throttle valve to adjust the speed; At the end of the journey, it is necessary to move steadily.
